Key Returners: Ryan Hartranft and Evan Kowalewski
Key Loses: Peyton Dill and Sam Heintz
Outlook: The Knights lose one of the top runners in the state in Peyton Dill, however, Ryan Hartranft made a huge jump forward in the spring winning the 2A 1600 state championship, and will look to carry the momentum to the grass this fall. The Knights bring back a strong core team and will be one of the favorites to win the 2A State championship.
#6 Crofton
2022 County / Conference Finish: 4th (Anne Arundel)
2022 Regionals Finish: 2nd (3A South)
2022 State Finish: 11th (3A)
Key Returners: London Layton, Jackson Lastowski
Key Loses: NA
Outlook: This will be the second year that Crofton will have a full four classes. They bring back their entire top 7 from last year and move up to the 4A Classification. With a few teams moving down to 3A, Crofton will be one of the preseason favorites to win the 4A Championship. While they don't have a dominant number-one runner, they have a lot of depth and will look to have a low 1-5 average at meets this fall.
