Meet Information
The Carroll County Public School (CCPS) will conduct the Carroll County Athletic League (CCAL) Championships at Hagerstown Community College (HCC) on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at2:00 pm- 7:00 pm. The doors will open at 1:00 pm. The CCAL Championship Meet will be timed by Morgan Lisby and M and D Timing, LLC and officiated by the Western Maryland Track Officials Association (WMTOA) in coordination with Michele Abrecht. The WMTOA will have a certified official at each event. The entries should begin Friday, 1/11/19 and the final deadline for entries will close on Wednesday, 1/23/19 by 9:00 pm. Vaulter weigh ins for the pole vault will begin at 1:05 pm. Coaches meeting time will begin at 1:15 pm.
A reminder that you get 3 entries in each individual event including the JV 300, JV 800, JV 1600 and JV Field Events; as well as getting one relay team per relay event.Time should permit that we will have a JV 4x400 where you may enter unlimited number of teams.All varsityandJVentries are required to be submitted onmile split (md.milesplit.com)Please enter only 4 athletes in each relay, you can make changes on the relay cards on meet day.If you have any questions about how to submit your entries, please contactMorgan Lisby via emailatmorgan@mdtimingllc.com.
I will be the Meet Director along with assistance and coordination from Coach Juan Cortez from FSK and FSK through athletic director Troy Warehime who will be coordinating and co-hosting the meet this winter at HCC.
There will be awards for the top 6 finishers in each varsity event along with JV ribbons for the top 3 finishers in each JV event as there were last year. We will score six in each event again this year and will be scored according to the 10-8-6-4-2-1scoring scale.We will follow the standard order of event schedule, which will be:

Field Events:
Pole Vault - Boys first followed by Girls then JV
High Jump - Girls first followed by Boys then JV
Shot Put - Girls first followed by Boys then JV
The starting heights and advancement procedures will be determined by the entries and we will go over that at the coaches meeting.In Shot Put, each athlete will get 3 throws, and the top 9 will advance to the finals.The Jury of Appeals ( 3 coaches) has been determined by Coach Juan Cortez. They are: Kevin Selby from South Carroll,Desmond Wars from Westminster,Nancy Hayes from Manchester Valley.
