Varsity Seeded Girls 5000m: 

A few Maryland teams traveled to Virginia for the Glory Days Grill Invitational at the Bull Run Regional Park. There was one elite performance by a Maryland athlete. James Hubert Blake senior Ella Zeigler finished fifth in Varsity Seeded Girls race with a time of 19:15.00. Zeigler set a new school record with this time.

Varsity Girls 5000m:

A few Maryland teams traveled to Pennsylvania for the Gettysburg XC Invitational at Gettysburg High School. There was one elite performance by a Maryland athlete. Frederick sophomore Caroline Gregory placed second in the Varsity Girls race with a time of 18:35.70. 

Another notable performance by Maryland athletes was in the JV Girls race. The Maryvale Prep squad had their top six girls place within the top 20: senior Isabelle Fleming (6th, 22:20.30); senior Sydney Schiavone (8th, 22:24.30); junior Nelly Cruz (12th, 22:38.40); sophomore Sydney Sachetti (14th, 22:42.40); junior Alicia Vo (16th, 22:49.30); and sophomore Kayley Harris (20th, 22:58.40).

Manhattan College XC Invitational (New York, NY):

A few Maryland teams traveled to New York for the Manhattan College XC Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park. There were a few notable performances. 

Girls Eastern States Champs Race (2.5 Mile):

(Juliette Whittaker finishes third in the Eastern States Champs Race)

Mount De Sales senior Juliette Whittaker represented Maryland with a third-place finish in the Girls Eastern States Champs race. She finished with an overall time of 14:41.80. 

Girls Varsity D Race (2.5 Mile):

(Katie Greenwald finishes fourth in the Girls Varsity D Race)

Walt Whitman freshman Katie Greenwald placed within the top 5 during the Girls Varsity D race. With a time of 15:52.10, she finished in fourth place. 

Girls Varsity B Race (2.5 Mile):

Walter Johnson had their top five runners place within the top 25 of the Girls Varsity B race: Madeline Simmons (9th, 16:05.50); Elie Rogers (12th, 16:22.50) Isabelle Senfaute (16th, 16:33.70); Amelia Burkhard (20th, 16:37.20); and Zuzana Huserova (25th, 16:49.60). 

Girls JV D Race (2.5 Mile):

Walter Johnson had their top five runners place within the top 20 of the Girls JV D race: Georgia Myers (6th, 17:47.60); Hannah Reily (7th, 17:57.60); Caroline Dooren (14th, 18:31.60); Jocylyn Gaul (17th, 18:41.70); and Elizabeth Fogg (20th, 18:50.70). 

Girls JV C Race (2.5 Mile):

Walt Whitman dominated the top 10 spots in the Girls JV C race. First, they snagged spots 2-6: Fredrika Rosa (2nd, 17:39.10); Emmy Holland (3rd, 17:40.70); Olivia Woitach (4th, 17:42.40); Elola Eckford (5th, 17:48.00); and Carolyn Catan (6th, 17:48.50). They also snagged the 9th place spot with Abby Melaku with a time of 18:21.20. To no surprise, the Walt Whitman girls took him the top honors with 20 points. 

Boys Varsity B Race (2.5 Mile):

Four Walt Whitman boys placed in the top 20: Jackson Megary (5th, 13:11.90); Michael Ward (9th, 13:29.50); Griffin Beckley (14th, 13:33.80); and Sean Cunniff (20th, 13:50.90). Because of this, the Walt Whitman squad took home first with a total of 82 points. 

Boys Varsity A Race (2.5 Mile):

A stellar performance came from Centennial junior Antonio Camacho-Bucks in the Boys Varsity A race. Camacho-Bucks finished second overall with a time of 12:48.20. Another Centennial athlete made the top 15 with senior Luke LasCasas placing 11th with a time of 13:27.10. 

Boys JV D Race (2.5 Mile):

The Walter Johnson boys and the Walt Whitman boys took over the Boys JV D race. 

For the Walter Johnson boys, the team went 1-2. First was senior Andrew Schell placing first with a time of 13:42.20. Second was senior Yariv Simhony with a time of 14:06.90. Two more Walter Johnson boys made the top 20. In 11th place was senior Jacob Hillman with a time of 14:41.80. In 16th was junior Aleksandr Ayanyan in a time of 14:57.50. 

For the Walt Whitman boys, their first runner was freshman Mateo Gros-Slovinsky in third place with a time of 14:09.70. Their next runner was senior Ryan Day in 9th place with a time of 14:35.70.  In 12th place was senior Archie Achesa with a time of 14:48.20. 

For the team scores, Walter Johnson edged out Walt Whitman by one point. Walter Johnson, led by Schell, Simhony, Hillman and Ayanyan, took home the top honors with 84 points. Walt Whitman, led by Gros-Slovinsky, Day and Aches, took home second with 85 points. 

Boys Frosh E Race (2000m):

Centennial freshman David Herzberger took home the first-place title with a time of 6:30.70 in the Boys Frosh E 2000m race.
