Overlea Flying Falcons Invitational: 

Meet Page I Results 

Open Boys 3200m Run:

Aberdeen athletes went 1-2 in the Open Boys 3200m race. First was junior Lucas Padowski with a time of 13:11.00. Second was freshman Ethan Ryan with a time of 13:16.00. The third-place spot was a battle between Perry Hall senior Nasir Brown and Carver A&T sophomore Deyon Steven. Both finished in a time of 13:26.00, but it was Brown who got the edge on Steven. Brown finished third while Steven finished fourth. The last spot in the top 5 was taken by another Carver A&T sophomore with Kai Haavik finishing fifth with a time of 13:39.00. With Steven and Haavik as the team leaders, Carver A&T took home the top honors with 15 points. 

Varsity Boys 5000m Run:

Once again, Aberdeen athletes went 1-2. First was junior Daniel Wilson with a time of 17:48.00. Second was senior Donovan Peyton with a time of 17:56.00. Third was right behind as Carver A&T senior Evan Calderon finished with a time of 17:57.00. The next two spots were filled by more Aberdeen athletes. Taking fourth place was senior Kalel Duncan with a time of 18:36.00. Taking fifth place was junior Holden Cross with a time of 18:45.00.  After taking four out of five spots in the top 5, it was not a surprise that the Aberdeen boys finished first with a mere 18 points. 

Open Girls 3200m Run: 

The Open Girls 3200m race was a Carver A&T sweep as the girls team went 1-2-3-4. First was sophomore Laila Hunt with a time of 18:08.00. Second was sophomore Stella Hamilton with a time of 19:46.00. Third was sophomore Victoria Polsky with a time of 20:30.00. Fourth was freshman Alessia Harper with a time of 21:59.00. The fifth-place finisher was Overlea sophomore Tamiyah Patterson with a time of 22:38.00. After snagging the first four spots of the race, it was clear that the Carver A&T girls would take first, which they did with 15 points. 

Varsity Girls 5000m Run: 

Perry Hall senior Kaylee Copenspire won the Varsity Girls race with a time of 21:20.0, which gave her a lead of almost 50 seconds. The next four spots were filled by the Carver A&T girls: junior Marissa Bookoff (2nd, 22:29.00); sophomore Nadira Cantey (3rd, 23:43.00); senior Charlotte Barkhouser (4th, 24:04.00); and senior Catherine Cusick (5th, 24:34.00). For the team scores, the Carver A&T (16 points) squad took home the top honors after taking the second, third, fourth and fifth places.
