Washington County Championships

(Oct. 21, 2021): 

Boys 5000m Run

North Hagerstown went 1-2 in the Boys 5000m Run. Seniors Alex Duncan (17:21.60) and Finn McGreevy (17:42.00) finished first and second, respectively. The third-place finisher was Smithsburg senior Sean Milligan with a time of 17:53.20.

Girls 5000m Run 

Boonsboro's Caroline Matthews had a spectacular performance. Matthews finished first with a time of 19:34.6, which was the only elite performance of the meet. Matthews had a staggering lead of over a minute. The next two spots were taken by North Hagerstown freshmen Lauren Stine (20:52.90) and Rian Johnson (21:42.00).
