Week in Review: Maryland HS Indoor Track, Jan. 1 to Jan. 9


Over 25+ teams across Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware came together for 2022 Collegeville High School InvitationalThe meet was hosted by Ursinus College at their Floy Lewis Bakes Field House in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. 

Sprints

55 Meter Dash

Mount St. Joseph's Brayden Bae had an impressive second-place finish and season-best of 6.90 in the 55m event. For the girls, Maryvale Prep's Leanely Cruz finished within the top 10 at the meet with a season-best of 7.84.

Hurdles

Once again, Maryvale Prep's Leanely Cruz had another top performance as a Maryland athlete. Cruz finished second overall with a time of 9.37, which is an MD #5. Her teammate, Alicia Vo, finished fourth with a time of 9.63, which is a top 20 performance in the state

Field Events

High Jump 

Maryvale Prep's Alicia Vo had another top performance. This time, it was in the high jump event where she reached 4-9. This performance is a tie for an MD #14. Her teammate, Adrienne Warren had a mark of 4-5. 

Triple Jump

Maryvale Prep's Alicia Vo had her third top five performance at the meet in the triple jump event. Vo finished third with a mark of 32-05.50.

Pole Vault

The Maryvale Prep girls had three elite performances in the event: Alex Savage (MD #7, 9-0); Kristin DeBolt (7-0); and Sarah Becker (7-0).
