BULL RUN PREVIEW: Breakdown and Predictions for all 8 races!

BOYS LARGE PREVIEW

Ranked Teams Competing

#12 Arundel

Ranked Individuals Competing

#10 - Tsedeke Jakovics (Old Mill)

The team race in the boy's large division will likely come down between Arundel, Montgomery Blair, and Broadneck. Arundel is led by Zaiden Lane and Mason Tyus and will look to put those two in front of Blair and Broadnecks #1. If thier 5 can move up a little they will be the favorite to win. Broadneck and Blair will lean a little more on a pack as they have a 1-5 average right around 60 seconds. Arundel's 1-5 average is over 2 minutes.

Individually there are a few athletes who can take home the win. Tsedeke Jakovics from Old Mill ran a fantastic opening race at Seahawk, placing second with a time of 15:26. Zaiden Lane ran 15:54 in that same race and will likely be with Jakovics for the majority of the race. Alex Paciello from Chesapeake also has run strong to start the year and should be in the mix as well.

Prediction:
Team: Arundel
Individual: Tsedeke Jakovics (Old Mill)

GIRLS LARGE PREVIEW

Ranked Individuals Competing

#8 - Grace Finnegan (Richard Montgomery)

Of all the races affected by the rain and postponement, the girl's large race was hit the hardest. Originally Frederick, Howard, Northern Calvert, and Walt Whitman were all entered. These 4 teams are all strong and boast some very talented individuals. Northern-Calvert, Howard, and Frederick were not able to attend the new date, while Walt Whitman moved up to the Elite race.

With those teams out, Richard Montgomery, Huntingtown, and Annapolis will look to battle each other for the win. Richard Montgomery is led by Grace Finnegan, an experienced senior, who has the ability to win this race. She ran well at the Barnhart Invite to start her season. Huntingtown is led by Sophie Bryan who has run 19:20 for 3 miles. In a virtual meet, RM, Huntingtown, and Annapolis are only separated by 6 points!

Individually the only runner competing who is ranked in the top 10 is Finnegan, who is ranked 8th. With that said, Carter Brotherton from Great Mills has had an excellent start to her season, running 18:14 at the Seahawk Invite for 3 miles, and will almost certainly be ranked in the next edition of the rankings. She should challenge Finnegan for the win!

Prediction:
Team: Richard Montgomery
Individual: Grace Finnegan (Richard Montgomery)
