Combined boys results from all 4 classifications of the 2016 Maryland Indoor State Championship. Identical times of 7.39 in 55 hurdles for state champions Shyheim Wright of Northwest & Casimir Tawiah of Great Mills. 

Combined girls results from all 4 classifications of the 2016 Maryland Indoor State Championships. Franklin's Nyjari McNeil and Mountain Ridge's Molly Offstein were the lone girls from Maryland to break 2:20 in the 800.

Virtual meet preview for the Maryland 1A Boys State Championships. On paper, Fairmont Heights and Smithsburg will be the top two contending teams at the state meet as Anthony Glasgow will be looking to generate many of the points for his Fairmont Heights squad doing the distance triple (1600, 3200, 800). He will have to Smithsburg's Will Merritt to deal with in the 1600 and 3200 then Smithsburg's Micah Daigneault in the 800.

Smithsburg junior Mallory Moholt has been a state runner-up 4 times over the past two years and appears in position to get state runner-up honor #5. Or championship opportunities can present themselves this year. Just ask teammate Will Merritt from this past cross country season.

Check out the Maryland 1A boys indoor track & field rankings by event going as deep as they go in every event. Pikesville's Ellis Brown has the fastest time in the classification for the 55 meter dash at 6.71 and second fastest in the 300 at 36.63. Both from his wins at the Warrior Knight Invitational in Hagerstown on January 9th.
