  • Kollon Smith of Upper Marlboro, Maryland leads the 15-16 year old boys decathlon after the first day of events with a current tally of 3,306 points. Smith has gotten out to an early lead thanks to having the best performances in the long jump (21'7.50", 718 pts) and 100 meter dash (11.58, 736 pts) and second best in the high jump (6'0.75", 714 pts).
  • After the first day of the 17-18 year old boys decathlon, Ritchie Case from Frederick, Maryland currently sits in fifth place with 3234 points.
  • Alexis Postell (Owinings, MD) sits in seventh place in the 15-16 year old girls heptathlon after day one with 2,576 points.
